Drs Larry Corey and Rhoda Morrow, from Vaccine and Infectious Disease Institute, will be introducing the new Faculty Mentoring Program before Dr. Kahn’s talk.  Please come to hear how VIDI is planning to mentor its faculty and fellows. James Kahn, M.D. “Mentoring For Success”   Do you mentor staff or faculty? Are you interested in learning innovative ways to support faculty and staff in your program? Our speaker, James Kahn, M.D., is widely recognized for his mentoring skills. His mentoring program at UCSF has drawn wide acclaim and national recognition for innovation and effectiveness. This seminar will provide practical information that administrators, faculty and staff can use to guide and encourage our colleagues. Don't miss the stress-reducing door prizes! Dr. Kahn is Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Francisco and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.  He is well known for his clinical and research contributions in the areas of HIV therapy, vaccine development, and electronic medical records development. Dr. Kahn is the founding director of the Mentoring Program for the UCSF-Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology's Center for AIDS Research.  Dr. Kahn is the recipient of the AIDS Research Institute's Outstanding Mentor Award.
