This FOA issued by the NCI, encourages research grant applications for the development and validation of biomarkers for (a) early detection, prediction of progression, and recurrence of hematopoietic malignancies, especially in high-risk individuals; and, (b) for risk assessment of primary and secondary hematopoietic malignancies. This FOA also encourages the development and improvement of specific technologies and methods for quantitative detection of novel biomarkers associated with hematopoietic malignancies.
