2/26/09 – NIH ALERT – CHECK eRA Commons for JIT Link or for email JIT notices
OSR has learned that the NIH will be receiving detailed information about how ARRA funds will be disbursed today or tomorrow. At that point, they will be quickly issuing JITs to approved R01s which did not receive funding in 2008 and that NIH feels the research goals could be met within two years.
If the JIT due date is missed, the application will not be funded, period.
Funds must be issued/awarded by the agency within 90 days from the announcement date (today or tomorrow).
